Statement of Case: In this case Plaintiffs’ claim that Jill Goodman, M.D., Mercy Hospital and the Mercy Hospital nursing staff were professionally negligent in the care and treatment of Kathleen Kromphardt and baby S.K. during Mrs. Kromphardt’s labor and S.K.’s delivery which caused S.K. to suffer injuries, including brain damage. The Defendants deny they were negligent and deny that any act or omission of the Defendants caused S.K.’s injuries, including his brain damage. Statement of Case Defendant: In this case Plaintiffs’ claim that Jill Goodman, M.D., Mercy Hospital and the Mercy Hospital nursing staff were professionally negligent in the care and treatment of Kathleen Kromphardt and baby S.K. during Mrs. Kromphardt’s labor and S.K.’s delivery which caused S.K. to suffer injuries, including brain damage.
