Several weeks ago i put out an inquiry regarding an apparent change in the Department of Liquors view on ICA 123.46.
For years we never had a problem getting a liquor permit for the Gala type fundraiser dinner-auction event.

It turned out that the Department was unaware of the old AG opinion that non-public schools could hold such events and that  ICA 123 did not prohibit the use of liquor at these non-public school facilities .The Department was persuaded that an adult only fundraising event in which students did not attend-participate would not be a "school Function". Thank you for all your input.

We have a non-public school  who is having a gala type  fundraiser  and applied for a liquor license. In the past 8 years , the Dept of Liquor had no problem issuing the license for the prior similar  event.
Now there is a "new" person who interprets ICA 123.46 differently than the predecessor.

Who has experience in this matter that would be willing to consult with us?
